Wallarm today announced it has joined the NVIDIA Inception program, which is designed to nurture startups revolutionizing industries with advancements in AI and data sciences.
Wallarm’s focus is on applying machine learning to protect modern web applications and APIs. As applications and attacks grow in complexity and sophistication, traditional protection methods become more cumbersome or break altogether. Wallarm’s approach is principally different and relies on AI to profile applications and to decide what’s normal within the application profile.
Automated application environment learning makes Wallarm a good fit for highly distributed Cloud infrastructures that change often. It also means that it can detect Zero-day threats in addition to threats that are known.
“Wallarm has used NVIDIA technology to run Reinforcement Learning algorithms, because the large amount of on-board RAM makes it a great fit for training Recurrent Neural Networks with a large number of layers and lots of data,” said Ivan Novikov, CEO of Wallarm. “We like the community aspect of the Inception program. As an AI early adopter, we look forward to sharing our experience, with younger startups looking to innovate.”
NVIDIA’s Inception program is a virtual accelerator program that helps startups during critical stages of product development, prototyping and deployment. Every Inception member gets a custom set of ongoing benefits, from hardware grants and marketing support to training with deep learning experts.
