While it might not be “news” to fans of the critically-acclaimed series, “Samurai Jack” has returned after 13 years of leaving an open-ended story. The fifth season, which was picked up by Adult Swim, is currently halfway through its the episode order and it was stated by series creator Genndy Tartakovsky that this would bring the story to a full close.

The movie was originally planned back in 2001, but after the failure of “Hey Arnold: The Movie,” the project was scrapped.
