COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Air Force men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams swept a multi-team meet on Saturday, Jan. 13, held at the Colorado College Aquatics Complex in Colorado Springs.

The men’s team (9-2 overall) defeated Incarnate Word (137.0-90.0) and conference rival Seattle (174-0-46.0). The women’s team (10-6 overall) also defeated Incarnate Word (139.0-100.0) and Seattle (166.0-61.0).

On the men’s side, junior Steffen Mount and sophomore Cole McAany each won two events. Mount won the 200 free (1:42.47) and the 100 free (45.36). McAnany won the 50 free (21.03) and 200 back (1:52.35). Senior Derek Brecht won the 200 IM (1:54.21).

A pair of sophomores finished first and second in the 200 breast stroke as Zach Nelson won (2:07.37) and Andrew Weiss was second (2:10.31). In the 1000 free, junior Collin Green placed second (9:57.04) while senior Garrett Glaudini was third (10:06.15). In the 500 free, Glaudini was second (4:48.01) and Green was third (5:52.50)

Senior Lars Knutson was third in the 50 free (21.35) while freshman Ben Settle was third in the 200 back (1:53.03)

In the 200 free, sophomore Ben Brockman was second (1:42.81) while freshman Daniel Keith was third (1:42.94). Brockman was second in the 200 fly (1:56.13) and Kyle Bundesmann was third (1:56.72). Senior Michael Hannigan was second in the 100 free (46.42).

In diving, the Falcons took three of the top four spots on the 1-meter as Cole Armagost was second (272.65), Kevin Lecours was third (243.35) and Jack Zocher was fourth (234.85).

In the final men’s event of the day, the 400 free relay team of Mount, Brockman, Keith and Hannigan won with a time of 3:04.56).
