Grassroots group looks to gather support during family-friendly rally
A PRO-INDEPENDENCE campaign group will hold a march and rally in Dunfermline this weekend.
Forward As One has (FAO) arranged a walk beginning at 12pm, Saturday 26 August, from Viewfield Terrace to Pittencrief Park, where the rally will be held.
TV presenter Emy Ewing and social commentator Gordon Ross have been confirmed as guest speakers alongside musician Kevin Gore.

Chairman of the FAO association, Martin Keatings said: “I am extremely proud of what the association have achieved with the budget we have and I am extremely appreciative of the support of the Yes Community in helping source certain aspects of the resources we need for the day.
“We are going all out to make this a day for the books.”
The march will pass by Dunfermline Abbey, the last resting place of Robert The Bruce, before converging where musicians and entertainers will play for the crowd.
An after-party will be held at the Brasserie in Dunfermline at 7pm.

“We are consistently told by the media that there is no appetite for a referendum but the truth is that things could not be further from the truth.
“People who voted No in 2014 are moving to the position of backing a second referendum in droves because of the less-than satisfactory political climate Scotland now finds itself in.
“The Yes movement is forward thinking, accepting and hail from a wide range of backgrounds and we are convinced that there will be something for everyone on the day.” FAO
