Browns Insurance, a family owned firm that provides communities in the Baltimore/DC region with asset protection and financial planning services, is launching a summer long charity event to help promote breast cancer awareness and gather donations for ongoing research.
U.S. Breast Cancer Statistics reveal that some 252,000 new cases of potentially deadly breast cancer will be diagnosed over the next year. Many of these new breast cancer cases will be far less dangerous if the patients are provided with accurate, up to date information on preventative techniques, such as self-exams and regular mammograms.
“We here at Browns Insurance believe our agency shouldn’t stand on the sidelines. For this reason we are vested in generating contributions for breast cancer treatments and research,” states Stefan Smallwood, the agency principal and executive director of Browns Insurance.
By building a network of social media and email connections, Smallwood and his team are building relationships with local health care providers, educators, and families in an effort to promote breast cancer awareness.
