“Singleman No More”: a heartfelt and dynamic story of an introvert’s quest for faith and love. “Singleman No More” is the creation of published author, Kevin Riley, a long-time programmer and first-time author whose search for romance in his own life inspired him to write the book. In his downtime, he enjoys golfing, traveling around the world, and singing with the Tremble Clefs, a music/voice therapy group for Parkinson’s patients.
It is this therapy group and their director, Sun Joo Lee, that Kevin credits for “helping me gain confidence speaking and singing in front of groups.” Readers will find that a similar music therapy group plays a key role in the protagonist’s own journey.
Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Kevin Riley’s new book explores the internal struggles that natural introverts often experience in social situations, and the effect it can have in the search for a partner.
The novel tells the story of the aptly-named Kevin Singleman, whose efforts to know Christ and to find romance in the past have not been as successful as he’d hoped for. Frustrated and disheartened, he resolves to give the Lord one year to help him solve his problems. Through the course of that year, his life slowly begins to change, as his steadfast friend becomes a beacon of hope, and he joins a music therapy group. When he becomes involved with a dark-haired, athletic caregiver named Laura, Kevin begins to wonder if he’s finally found the romance he has been searching for his whole life.
