NEW YORK (AP) — Aqueduct has canceled the Sunday card, the second straight day of racing lost to the cold snap in the New York metropolitan area.
Both Aqueduct and Belmont Park remain open for simulcast betting on out-of-state tracks.
The cancellation was the sixth this winter. The next scheduled card is Monday, a holiday program on Presidents Day.
A wind chill advisory issued Saturday for New York City remains in effect until noon Sunday. National Weather Service meteorologists say the city could see wind chills of 15 degrees to 24 degrees below zero, with winds gusting up to 35 mph.
