U.S. News has ranked Adrian College as a “Regional Top College in the Midwest”
ADRIAN — Adrian College has climbed in rankings among colleges in the Midwest, according to a list recently released by U.S. News and World Report.
In its 2017 edition of “America’s Best Colleges,” U.S. News has again ranked Adrian College as a “Regional Top College in the Midwest,” according to a news release. The college is listed among the “Best Regional Colleges” section, the fourth consecutive time the college has made the ranking.
This year the college also received recognition as a “Most Innovative” institution, landing as the No. 2 school in that specific category. Adrian College also was recognized as a regional “Best Value School” — the fourth year the institution has been named as such.
“Recognition for innovation is especially gratifying because the single-most important thing we can do for our students, and our community, is inspire a culture of innovation and critical thinking,” said Adrian College president Jeff Docking in a statement. “Adrian College recognizes the need for students and faculty to be fueled by innovative programs, forward-thinking projects and inspirational surroundings.”
The new recognition as the No. 2 ranked “Most Innovative” institution recognizes those institutions making the most innovative improvements in terms of curriculum, faculty, students, campus life, technology or facilities. Adrian College received the second-highest number of nominations for making promising changes on campus. The addition of Adrian College to the list of “Best Value Schools” takes into account the institution’s focus on academic quality and the cost of attendance.
Docking said in a statement the college’s continuous improvements are what keeps the college in the national spotlight.
